Hi, my name is Syeda Fatima, and I’m the Senior Manager of Corporate Accounting at Mejuri. In my role, I am responsible for leading the corporate accounting team and ensuring that our financial statements are grounded in accurate financial information in a robust control environment. Job Overview
As the Corporate Accountant, you will be responsible for creating working files to support the compilation of consolidated monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements. Your objective will be to improve accuracy, reduce month-end close timelines and create efficiencies in processes. This role will serve as the treasury specialist on the team who will oversee bank reconciliations, debt arrangements, accounts payable and other wires, cash management and other treasury requirements. You will partner closely with teams in FP&A, AP, Human Resources / Payroll, Data / Technology, Retail Expansion, Sustainability and eCommerce / Retail.

What you'll do
Assist in timely and accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial close and reporting process Prepare supporting files for accounting transactions, and demonstrate strong technical knowledge of accounting standards (ASPE) Contribute to a top tier team that proactively drives continuous improvement and works with a collaborative mentality Assistance with initiatives that contribute to the objective of building out the accounting team technology stack, specifically T&E systems, bank automation projects and reporting dashboards Preparation of working files supporting bank, credit cards, T&E, corporate operating expenses including transactions related to G&A, corporate loans, intercompany, and other accruals Partner cross-functionally with AP, FP&A, Human Resources / Payroll, Retail Expansion, Sustainability and Data/Technology business unit leaders in the month-end review process and treasury requirements Assist with external review/audit process as necessary Ensure a strong controls environment and fiscal integrity of the company’s business through the enhancement and management of accounting systems and controls Facilitate weekly wire payments and urgent wire transfers while ensuring accurate cash management and compliance with covenants Preparation of monthly rent wire payments, reconciliation and landlord reporting requirements Assist with special projects and ad-hoc requests as neededWhat you'll bring to the team
2+ years of progressive experience in full cycle and/or public accounting Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel) and finance software An analytical mind with problem-solving aptitude Proven track record of managing several priorities BSc/BA in Accounting, Finance or related fieldNice to haves
