Hyphen Connect is seeking an AI Product Developer/Engineer Intern to contribute to the development of its Candidate CRM. This role involves designing and building AI-powered features that enhance the recruitment process. The intern will work closely with team members, utilizing tools and APIs to create solutions for real recruitment challenges.

The intern will have the opportunity to experiment and implement user-friendly AI solutions, test code with sample candidate data, and document their work for future reference. The role offers mentorship from a founder passionate about recruitment innovation.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and build AI-powered features for the Candidate CRM.
  • Develop prototypes using accessible tools, APIs, or scripting (e.g., Python, ChatGPT API, Google Colab).
  • Explore and implement user-friendly AI solutions.
  • Test code with sample candidate data and refine it based on results.
  • Document work, including code, experiments, and guides.
  • Partner with a tech-forward recruitment manager to prioritize features.

Requirements:

  • Current enrollment in a program in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related STEM field.
  • Self-starter mentality with comfort in learning tools and debugging.
  • Hands-on experience with coding (e.g., Python, JavaScript).
  • Passion for AI.
  • Portfolio of work showcasing development skills.
  • Familiarity with APIs, no-code/low-code platforms, or basic data handling is a plus.
  • Ability to break down technical ideas for a non-technical team.
