Job Description
Vestmark is seeking a Manager, Payroll & Expense Management. This role is responsible for overseeing the expense and payroll lifecycles, ensuring accurate financial records, payroll compliance, and efficient financial processes. The Manager will also manage and develop the accounting and accounts payable team.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the expense lifecycle.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports and statements.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and relevant regulations.
- Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures.
- Manage cash flow and forecasting.
- Oversee and execute accurate and timely processing of payroll.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws.
- Maintain accurate payroll records and reports.
- Manage year-end payroll processes.
- Work with payroll software and systems.
- Supervise and mentor accounting and accounts payable staff.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback.
- Participate in audits and ensure compliance with internal controls.
- Collaborate with other departments.
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve accounting processes and systems.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience in accounting management, including payroll management.
- 4-6 years of experience in accounting and payroll fields.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, payroll regulations, and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in Netsuite accounting software and ADP payroll systems.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
