Design Manager, USA

Job Description

Yondr is seeking a Design Manager to ensure consistency in design services, promote best practices, and drive continuous improvement. The Design Manager will be responsible for early site due diligence, master planning, and ensuring the quality and delivery of Yondr's offerings. The individual will deploy global standards, processes, and technical governance for project delivery, and lead the technical elements of site selection.

• Leading and managing the project design review process.
• Evaluating individual deliverables and overall performances of contractors and vendors.
• Coordinating design release, submissions, and approvals.
• Monitoring permitting activities.
• Leading company sustainability initiatives.
• Auditing designs for inconsistencies and missing information.
• Supporting the delivery/construction team in resolving design-related issues.
• Managing design and technical due diligence for the Americas region.
• Interfacing with internal discipline leads to implement site-specific data center design.

• At least 10 years' experience with highly serviced buildings and understanding of mechanical, electrical, and ICT elements.
• Knowledge of Data Centres or mission critical facilities is a must.
• Prior construction design and/or design management experience or Architectural, Structural or M&E qualifications preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of the design and construction process.
• Commercial acumen and good communication skills.
