Scientist/Sr. Scientist - T Cell Biology

Job Description

Xaira Therapeutics, an innovative biotech startup focused on AI-driven drug discovery, is seeking a Scientist/Sr. Scientist to join their Discovery and Development group. The ideal candidate will have expertise in T cell biology and immunology to investigate the immunogenicity of biologics and support pipeline programs.

Responsibilities include:

• Leading the development and execution of primary human T cell assays.
• Standardizing, automating, and scaling T cell assays.
• Data analysis, QC, and data management to enable decision making and machine learning approaches.
• Supporting the maintenance of a human PBMC bank.
• Collaborating with target evaluation and pipeline program teams to provide immunogenicity risk assessment and mitigation support.
• Presenting program updates and research strategies.
• Advancing scientific expertise within the immunogenicity space.

Requirements:

• PhD with 0-5+ years direct experience outside of PhD in Immunology or related field.
• Direct experience working with primary human T cells.
• Experience with immune assay readouts (flow cytometry, cytokine, ELISpot, etc.).
• Knowledge of T cell biology (experience evaluating immunogenicity of therapeutic proteins and/or vaccines strongly preferred).
• Management and mentorship abilities.
• Self-directed and capable of leading multiple complex research projects independently.
