OLIVER+, a part of The Brandtech Group, is seeking a Digital Designer to join its team in South Africa. This is a remote position where the individual will be responsible for designing, managing, and producing design concepts through to full artwork stage for a wide variety of outputs.
The Digital Designer will work under the direction of a Creative Director and collaborate with a creative team to execute designs, working within brand guidelines to produce design and artwork to the client’s brief and exacting standards. The ideal candidate will proactively manage projects within agreed timescales, considering quality, accuracy, and consistency, while maintaining a fast-paced and responsive workflow across multiple projects and brands.
What the role involves:
- Working on projects from start to finish, collaborating across teams on ideation, creation, and implementation
- Demonstrating strong conceptual and integrated design thinking for web, ecommerce, social content, and digital marketing
- Defining the look and feel for a variety of digital design projects
- Implementing existing brand guidelines and templates on projects
- Presenting work internally and to clients and managing workloads within agreed timings
- Staying up to date with current design trends
- Understanding what makes great content, e.g., best practices for making ecommerce, social assets, and mobile-first designs
Requirements:
- Experience working with FMCG / Health Brands
- Social and video design experience
- A portfolio demonstrating ideas through to execution
- A passion for digital trends and interaction / animation design
- A deep affinity with layout, typography, and ideas-generation
- Excellent grasp of design programs and tools such as Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator
- A team player with the ability to build strong and effective working relationships
- Excellent attention to detail
- Capable of taking creative briefs from clients and account team and showing personal responsibility for quality across all jobs allocated which includes client liaison
