Senior Infrastructure Engineer at Rimes Technologies

Rimes Technologies is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join their global Technology team. Rimes provides enterprise data management solutions to the global investment community.He will ensure the technology used by Rimes customers is innovative, reliable, performant, scalable, and secure. The role involves delivering world-class customer experience for both external and internal users. The infrastructure team operates a global service, committed to meeting customer demands and proactively delivering technology and mission-critical data within SLA.Responsibilities:

• Participating in best practices (Reliability, Observability, Recoverability).
• Participating in architectural decision-making and mentoring junior engineers.
• Troubleshooting complex technical issues and driving the adoption of best practices.
• Building systems and implementing innovative technologies to support the next-generation platform in the Data Center and the Cloud.
• Optimizing data center infrastructure to improve performance, utilization, availability, and security.
• Maintaining observability best practices to measure compliance with Rimes' SLOs.
• Implementing efficient monitoring systems to measure the performance and reliability of production systems.
• Participating in Capacity and Performance planning.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience supporting physical Datacenters, Hardware, O/S, and networks.
• Knowledge of VMware virtualization.
• Demonstrable knowledge of Windows Server 2019/2022.
• Databricks knowledge.
• Azure knowledge or accreditation.
• Microsoft SQL Server experience.
• Network knowledge.
• Experience building production systems to support SaaS and Data delivery.
• Good communication skills.
• Competent problem solver.
• Experience with Datadog / Monitoring tools.
