Senior Medical Editor

Job Description

Ogilvy Health UK is seeking a Senior Medical Editor for a 12-month fixed-term contract in Manchester. The Senior Medical Editor will ensure consistent, high-quality, and error-free work across key accounts. The role involves providing expert medical editing services and maintaining high standards.

Ogilvy Health UK is made up of healthcare communication specialists across the disciplines of medical education and communications; brain sciences; brand promotion; digital and social; strategic planning; public relations and creative/design. They combine biomedical science, learning theory and behaviour change to create impactful medical and professional education.

This role involves:

• Providing expert medical editing services.
• Working closely with medical writers and account managers.
• Maintaining a strong understanding of therapeutic areas.
• Ensuring compliance with industry standards.
• Contributing to the improvement of editorial processes.

Requirements:

• Significant experience as a Medical Editor within a medical communications agency.
• Excellent knowledge of medical terminology, grammar, and style.
• Proven ability to edit complex scientific documents.
• Strong understanding of regulatory guidelines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A life science degree or equivalent qualification is preferred.
