Platform Engineer at Veeam Software

Veeam, the leading data protection and ransomware recovery company, is seeking a Platform Engineer to join their Veeam Kasten team in Prague. This individual will contribute to the infrastructure used to develop and test the Veeam Kasten data management platform, ensuring top-tier security and excellence.

The Platform Engineer will be responsible for rolling out and maintaining on-premises and cloud infrastructures, implementing and supporting CI/CD pipelines, developing automation tools, and preparing technical documentation.

Responsibilities include:

• Rolling out and maintaining on-premises and cloud infrastructures
• Implementing and supporting CI/CD pipelines
• Developing tools automating technical daily routines
• Developing and enhancing Infrastructure as Code templates
• Preparing technical documentation and specifications

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience deploying, upgrading and maintaining infrastructures with Kubernetes and Docker
• Experience with VM management platforms such as Red Hat OpenShift Virtualization and VMware
• Experience with container orchestration and management platforms
• Experience with the design, implementation, and maintenance of infrastructure, CI/CD practices and infrastructure monitoring tools
• Strong understanding and experience with an IaC tool such as Terraform or Pulumi
• Experience coding in high-level programming languages like Golang or Python
• Possessing system programming skills in Bash
