Junior Commodities Trader (m/f/d)

Job Description

A portfolio company is seeking a motivated Junior Commodities Trader to support commercial growth and market expansion strategies. The company is a next-generation supply chain platform redefining how one of the world’s largest industries sources, distributes, and finances materials. With a team of 80+ FTEs across Europe, China, and India, the company is rapidly scaling toward profitability.

In this role, the Junior Commodities Trader will:

• Build and manage customer relationships, negotiate pricing and volumes, and drive deals from lead generation to closing
• Source and trade construction materials across the DACH market
• Track market trends, pricing, and regional demand
• Identify trading opportunities and run competitive analyses
• Ensure smooth end-to-end execution of trades
• Collaborate closely with the Operations and Finance teams
• Contribute to the development of a high-performing, entrepreneurial team culture

The ideal candidate will have:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business or a related field
• First work experience in a competitive, fast-paced environment
• Passion for working in a growth-stage startup
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Hands-on mentality
• Proactive and confident communication skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in German and strong proficiency in English
• Eligibility to work within the EU
