GumGum is seeking an Account Director to drive revenue for its contextual advertising platform in Sydney, Australia. The Account Director will report to the Country Manager, Australia, and will be responsible for prospecting and closing sales within large and mid-size agencies. The role requires autonomy and is supported by a cross-functional pre-sales team.
Role Involves:
- Driving revenue for Sydney/Australia with a $5M+ yearly goal.
- Prospecting and growing large to mid-sized agencies.
- Identifying and qualifying opportunities from marketing-driven leads.
- Generating sales activity including cold calling, presentations, and RFPs.
- Upselling current clients with new products.
- Cultivating relationships with brands and agency contacts.
- Translating client insights to the internal product team.
- Collaborating with the Account Manager and internal teams.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Media or Marketing/Advertising field preferred.
- 5+ years of selling experience in digital advertising sales.
- Experience managing a large book of business.
- Strong selling experience and track record of hitting sales targets.
- Programmatic experience required.
- Strong strategic relationships across NSW regional agencies and global holdcos.
- Adaptability to change and innovation.
- Creative and strategic thinking.
- Highly motivated team player.
