MLOps Field Engineer

Job Description

Canonical is seeking an MLOps Field Engineer to assist global companies in adopting AI/ML solutions. This role involves applying expert insights to solve real-world customer problems, enabling the enterprise adoption of Ubuntu, Kubeflow, MLFlow, Feast, DVC, and related technologies. The ideal candidate will enjoy customer interactions, solving problems through architecture and training, and designing ML architectures for external clients.

Role Involves:

• Designing private and public cloud solutions for customers.
• Architecting cloud infrastructure solutions like Kubernetes, Kubeflow, OpenStack, and Spark.
• Delivering solutions on-premise or in public cloud (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Collecting customer business requirements and advising them on Ubuntu and relevant open source applications.
• Delivering presentations and demonstrations of Ubuntu Pro and AI/ML capabilities.
• Liaising with product teams to provide feedback and influence the roadmap.

Requirements:

• Exceptional academic track record.
• Experience in data engineering, MLOps, or big data solutions deployment.
• Experience with a relevant programming language (Python, R, or Rust).
• Practical knowledge of Linux, virtualization, containers, and networking.
• Knowledge of cloud computing concepts & leaders (Kubernetes, AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Intermediate level Python programming skills.
• Professional written and spoken English with excellent presentation skills.
• Ability to travel internationally up to 30% of time.
