Legal Counsel (Remote - Work from Anywhere) at Xapo Bank

Xapo Bank is seeking a Legal Counsel to join its legal team. This is a fully remote position allows talent to work from anywhere. The Legal Counsel will support the legal team in areas such as conducting legal research, reviewing documentation, contracts, analyzing complex legal information, and summarizing findings.

The role involves:

• Conducting in-depth legal research on various topics.
• Reviewing legal documentation related to Financial Services, Fintech, and Blockchain.
• Assessing and implementing standards relating to consumer duty, financial promotion rules and reviewing client facing communications.
• Dealing with issues that arise from a members’ perspective.
• Analysing information and providing reports based on findings.
• Providing recommendations and legal advice based on findings.

Requirements:

• 5+ years PQE within the Financial Services, Fintech, and Blockchain industry.
• UK qualified lawyer or equivalent with practice in the UK or Gibraltar.
• Demonstrated analytical and research abilities.
• Problem-solving skills and innovative thinking.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Technological proficiency and familiarity with digital tools.
• Project management skills.
