Senior Backend Engineer at Launch Potato

Launch Potato is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join their team. This role is based in Recife, Brazil, with remote work options available. The Senior Backend Engineer will enable Launch Potato’s Data Science team to scale machine learning innovation by supporting and deploying ML infrastructure across business-critical services.

The role involves:

• Deploying machine learning pipelines and endpoint changes.
• Identifying and removing backend bottlenecks.
• Maintaining and improving backend services.
• Troubleshooting and resolving production issues.
• Standing up and maintaining infrastructure using Terraform, ECS, and Lambda.
• Contributing to continuous deployment pipelines.
• Participating in code reviews.

Requirements include:

• 4+ years of professional development experience using Python.
• Experience with containerized Python/Django (or FastAPI) services.
• Proven track record collaborating with Data Science teams.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting production bugs.
• Strong grasp of SQL databases, CI/CD (especially CircleCI), and infrastructure as code (Terraform preferred).
• Comfort contributing ideas and driving technical improvements.
