Senior Backend Engineer at Launch Potato

Launch Potato, a digital media company, is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to enable their Data Science team to scale machine learning innovation. The Senior Backend Engineer will support and deploy ML infrastructure across business-critical services. The role involves collaborating with data science teams, troubleshooting production bugs, and contributing to technical improvements.

Role Involves:

• Deploying machine learning pipelines and endpoint changes.
• Maintaining and improving backend services.
• Troubleshooting and resolving production issues.
• Contributing to continuous deployment pipelines.
• Participating in code reviews.

Requirements:

• 4+ years of professional development experience using Python.
• Experience with containerized Python/Django (or FastAPI) services, including deployment on AWS.
• Proven track record collaborating with Data Science teams and deploying ML endpoints to production.
• Proficiency in SQL databases, CI/CD (especially CircleCI), and infrastructure as code (Terraform preferred).
• Strong grasp of debugging principles and Python design patterns.
