Job Description
Groupon is seeking a Category Manager to join its Commercial Finance & Strategy Team. This role involves shaping the future of Groupon by owning a key category end-to-end, such as massages, activities, or local experiences. The Category Manager will drive strategy, optimize deal structures, and grow merchant partnerships with full accountability and visibility.Responsibilities include:
- Developing innovative strategies to unlock growth through deal structuring and pricing.
- Conducting in-depth analyses of category performance using Excel, Tableau, SQL, and Salesforce.
- Presenting category plans and performance updates to C-level executives.
- Managing each phase of strategic insights from ideation and testing to full-scale rollout.
- Identifying and onboarding key merchant partners, negotiating terms, and optimizing deals.
Requirements include:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably from an English-speaking university.
- 5+ years in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment in multinational e-commerce marketplace(s) with B2C focus.
- Advanced Excel proficiency; experience with Tableau, SQL, and Salesforce is a plus.
- Excellent presentation and storytelling abilities.
