Spanish Speaking Behavior Technician

Job Description

Centria Autism is seeking a Spanish Speaking Behavior Technician to join their team in Woodbridge, Virginia. The Behavior Technician will work one-on-one with children with autism, implementing individualized behavior intervention plans under the guidance of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).

The Behavior Technician will use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing interfering behaviors. Centria Autism provides comprehensive training to equip and empower each Behavior Technician.

The role involves:

• Implementing individualized behavior intervention plans
• Teaching communication, social, and daily living skills
• Reducing interfering behaviors
• Working under the guidance of a BCBA

Requirements:

• Passionate about helping children with autism
• Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team
• 18+ years of age
• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to obtain a CPR, First Aid Certification and Tuberculosis test
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check
• Ability to move in various positions (sit, squad, bend, etc.)
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Bilingual in Spanish
• Candidates must obtain an Registered Behavior Technician Certification after completing onboarding
