Caylent, a cloud-native services company, is seeking a Data Architect to join its Cloud Data Engineering team. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in data architecture and ML system design, with a passion for driving innovation alongside customers, partners, and colleagues. This role involves working with the latest technologies and supporting customers in bringing cutting-edge ideas to market.
Responsibilities: - Guiding Cayliens and Customers through Agile ceremonies.
- Translating customer requirements into a workable backlog of tickets for engineers.
- Delegating tickets to a team of engineers to complete customer projects.
- Leading requirements gathering, backlog grooming, and architecture discussions.
- Applying understanding of DevOps pipelines, including build automation, branching strategies, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, security, monitoring, logging, and alerting.
- Troubleshooting and resolving issues in customer environments.
- Automating software testing and monitoring results.
- Writing production-quality code with unit and integration tests.
- Delivering top-quality cloud-native applications on AWS for customers.
- Communicating and documenting designs, processes, and procedures.
- Mentoring peers and learning from a world-class team of engineers.
Requirements: - Experience designing and implementing ETL, orchestration, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with SQL databases, stored procedures, and query optimization.
- Experience with analytics and visualization.
- Experience with MDM and data governance.
- Experience implementing high availability solutions, read/write replicas, and performance tuning on AWS.
- Experience with RDS and Aurora optimization.
- Experience with large-scale application migration with a focus on databases.
- Experience with security, access controls, and governance in the cloud.
- Expert-level understanding of data warehouses and RDBMs (Redshift, Snowflake, Postgres, MySQL).
- Proficiency with IaC tools (CloudFormation, CDK, Terraform) and CI/CD tools.
- Experience with AWS Glue, Lambda, SDKs.
