Lead Accountant at Sertis

Sertis, a leading Data and AI company based in Bangkok, is seeking a Lead Accountant to take ownership of its financial operations and drive excellence in accounting, reporting, and compliance. The Lead Accountant will oversee end-to-end accounting functions, lead process improvements, manage financial reporting, and play a critical role in shaping financial strategies as the company scales. They will also partner with internal stakeholders, offering insights and guidance for decision-making and long-term growth.

Responsibilities of the role include:

• Leading day-to-day accounting operations.
• Overseeing accounts payable and receivable, payment processing, and monthly closing activities.
• Monitoring and managing fixed assets, cash flow, and working capital.
• Ensuring timely and accurate tax submissions.
• Preparing and reviewing consolidated financial statements.
• Supervising the transition and upgrade from TFRS for NPAEs to full PAE standards.
• Partnering with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights.
• Driving process improvements and implementing best practices in accounting systems and controls.
• Mentoring and guiding junior accounting staff.
• Staying up-to-date with local and international accounting standards and regulatory changes.

Requirements for this role:

• Thai national with strong command of English.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• CPA certification preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting, with 1-2 years in a supervisory role.
• Knowledge of tax regulations, BOI privileges, commercial law, and financial compliance in Thailand.
• Experience in corporate environments and auditing firms is valued.
• Ability to lead accounting functions, improve processes, and collaborate across teams.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, analytical, with strong problem-solving skills.
