Senior Backend Engineer at VEED.IO

VEED.IO is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join their Core Services team in Amsterdam. The Core Services team is responsible for platform development and providing support and enablement for other engineering teams. The role involves supporting other teams, building services and infrastructure, taking ownership of initiatives, and solving technical problems across infrastructure, backend, and frontend.

What this role involves:

• Supporting other teams by providing technical assistance and troubleshooting.
• Building services and infrastructure to enable other engineers and speed up development.
• Taking ownership of larger initiatives within the Core Services team.
• Solving technical problems end-to-end, across infrastructure, backend, and frontend.

Requirements:

• Proactive and motivated to understand technical challenges.
• TDD-like attitude and prioritizes writing comprehensive tests.
• Good knowledge of TypeScript and related web technologies.
• Ideally incorporates AI-based tooling into workflows.
• Comfortable leading technical projects and collaborating with stakeholders.
• Excellent communicator and able to work well asynchronously.
• Enjoys shipping regularly and having an impact.
