QA Technician (5 month contract) at Hangar 13

Hangar 13, a 2K development studio with locations in Brighton (UK) and Brno & Prague (Czech Republic), is seeking a QA Technician for a 5-month contract. This role involves testing pre-release software on various platforms, ensuring game content meets quality standards.

The QA Technician will work collaboratively within an international team, contributing to high-quality game development and engaging player experiences.

Responsibilities:

• Testing software based on provided test plans within given timescales.
• Accurately reporting defects by entering them into the database according to company guidelines.
• Regressing all open and claimed fixed issues in later builds and verifying the corresponding database entries.
• Providing feedback in key areas to developers to ensure the highest possible quality.

Requirements:

• Very good command of English (verbal and written).
• A passion for gaming.
• Hardworking, initiative, reliable, punctual, and a team player.
• Ability to quickly learn and use specific in-house tools.
• Good organizational skills.
• Knowledge of MS Office Suite.

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of bug databases (Jira, TestTrack Pro, etc.).
• Basic knowledge of file management systems (Perforce, SVN, GIT, etc.).
• Creating and maintenance of test documents.
• Strong knowledge of the game industry.
• Basic knowledge of Unreal Engine.
