Job Description
Capital on Tap is seeking a Financial Crime Compliance Manager to join their team in London. This is a hybrid role, requiring the candidate to work from the Shoreditch office 3+ days per week.
The Financial Crime Compliance Manager will deputize for the MLRO, overseeing a team of three Financial Crime Compliance Professionals. The role involves providing guidance to first-line operational functions and other business areas as needed. The successful candidate will support the MLRO in developing and managing AML policies and procedures, offer expert advice on suspicious activity, sanctions, PEPs, and high-risk customers, and act as a subject matter expert on regulatory obligations.

Responsibilities:
- Deputise for the MLRO
- Manage a team of three Financial Crime Compliance Professionals.
- Support the MLRO in the development and management of AML policies and procedures.
- Provide expert guidance to first line operations and review escalations.
- Act as a subject matter expert for both current and emerging regulatory obligations.
- Liaise with Law Enforcement, regulators and Partner Banks.
- Develop targeted training for first line financial crime teams and customer facing operations.
- Feed into the ongoing maintenance of onboarding and ongoing due diligence controls.
- Liaise with second line assurance and third line audit functions
Requirements:
- Complex Investigation skills
- Effective communication with stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple ongoing projects.
- Experience building out a second line Financial Crime Compliance team.
- Awareness of the regulatory environment.
- Previous management experience within Financial Crime and appropriate industry accreditation
- Strong presenting skills.
- Experience with SQL and strong Excel skills are highly desirable.
