Job Description

GoFundMe is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their team in Buenos Aires, Argentina, to work on implementing campaign experiences. This is a hybrid position, requiring candidates to be located in Buenos Aires.

The Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for analyzing, designing, and developing software within a large and complex codebase. They will contribute to a microservice-based evolution of the technical infrastructure and collaborate with experienced developers to design new features and re-architect existing ones. The role involves working within an Agile environment as part of a Scrum team to develop web-based software solutions. Mentoring junior engineers is also a key aspect of the role.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of professional software development experience with web development
• Excellent understanding of distributed software architecture
• High-level proficiency with React, Javascript ES6, TypeScript, Node.js, HTML/CSS
• Familiarity with GraphQL, Elasticsearch, Docker, AWS (EC2, ECS, Lambda, SNS)
• Experience with Scrum/Agile development methodologies
• Deep experience with code versioning tools (GIT/Bitbucket)
