Assistant Accountant at Platform Science

Platform Science is seeking an Assistant Accountant to join their finance team. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented and proactive with experience in accounting. The role is based in either Leuven or Ieper, Belgium and offers a hybrid work model.

Responsibilities:

• Processing vendor invoices and employee expense reports
• Preparing payments to vendors
• Handling bank statement reconciliations
• Reconciling general ledger accounts
• Assisting in month-end closing activities

Requirements:

• Initial experience in accounting
• Fluency in English, Dutch, and French
• Independent and self-motivated work ethic
• Strong integrity and attention to detail
• Team-oriented approach
• Bachelors degree in accounting, finance or related fields
• Knowledge of European GAAP or U.S. GAAP (plus)
• Experience in an international setting (preferred)
