Site Reliability Engineer

Job Description

Visier is seeking a skilled Site Reliability Engineer to contribute to the reliability and scalability of their cloud-based analytics platform. The SRE will work alongside experienced engineers, tackling complex infrastructure challenges and mastering essential SRE practices. They will gain hands-on experience with technologies like Kubernetes, Kafka, Cassandra, and a comprehensive suite of AWS services.

What this role involves:
• Architecting and automating infrastructure using Terraform and Packer.
• Building and optimizing CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins and Groovy.
• Implementing and enhancing security best practices.
• Troubleshooting and improving the performance of critical infrastructure services.
• Developing SRE tools using Python.
• Contributing to system design discussions.
• Participating in on-call rotations and incident response.

Requirements:
• Strong foundation in software development principles.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, Java, Scala, Go, etc.).
• Solid understanding of Linux systems administration and networking fundamentals.
• Proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD concepts.
• Desire to learn and improve security practices.
