Site Reliability Engineer at Visier Solutions Inc

Visier is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to enhance its cloud-based analytics platform. This role involves working with experienced engineers to tackle infrastructure challenges and implement SRE practices. The engineer will gain hands-on experience with technologies such as Kubernetes, Kafka, Cassandra, and AWS services.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and deploy infrastructure as code using Terraform and Packer.
• Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins and Groovy.
• Implement and enhance security best practices within the infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot, monitor, and improve the performance and reliability of critical infrastructure services.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools using Python.
• Participate in system design discussions.
• Participate in on-call rotations and incident response efforts.

Requirements:

• Strong foundation in software development principles.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, Java, Scala, Go, etc.).
• Solid understanding of Linux systems administration and networking fundamentals.
• Proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD concepts.
• Desire to learn and improve security practices.
