Roofr is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to contribute to the development of its roofing platform. The ideal candidate will help drive backend architecture and contribute to all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle. They will collaborate with cross-functional team members to develop technical requirements and write clean code for web applications and reusable libraries.
What this role involves:
- Driving backend architecture to the next stage of Roof’s systems
- Working in a fast-paced cross-functional team
- Contributing to all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle
- Collaborating with cross-functional team members to develop technical requirements
- Writing clean code to develop functional web applications and reusable libraries
- Writing unit, functional, and acceptance tests
- Troubleshooting and supporting production applications
Requirements:
- 5+ years of software development experience
- Proficiency with PHP language & Laravel framework
- Experience with agile methodologies
- Track record of breaking down complex problems into incremental solutions
- Excellent communication skills
