Software Engineer at Pricefox

Pricefox, a leading services marketplace in Greece, is seeking a Software Engineer to join its product team. This team is central to all company functions, developing and maintaining the online marketplace for insurance and energy products. The Software Engineer will work on the platform that directly impacts all Pricefox users. He will participate in daily standups and scrum sessions, work on new features involving frontend, backend, and database changes, debug code, provide design guidelines, and contribute to internal initiatives.

• Participate in daily standup and scrum sessions
• Work on the latest feature that entails changes to frontend, backend, database
• Debug a rather hairy codebase
• Provide design guidelines and sizing points for upcoming features
• Contribute to internal initiatives, such as knowledge-sharing sessions, improving the developer experience, and keeping our codebase up to date

Pricefox is looking for a candidate with at least 3+ years of experience on the web platform. Expertise in database management, CSS, Spring Security, JVM virtual threads, or PLT is a bonus.

• 3+ years of experience on the web platform
• Skilled in a framework of your preference
• Grok that HTMX solves 90% of the problem
• Eager to explore DDD
• Understand the algorithms behind the code you write
• Willingness to take responsibility for features from conception through delivery
• Obsessed with product quality but, Also understand that timely shipping always trumps perfection
