System Administrator at Zenni Optical

Zenni Optical is seeking a System Administrator to manage and maintain its server systems, enterprise applications, and IT infrastructure. This role will support hybrid infrastructure across multiple locations. The System Administrator will ensure uptime, security, and performance of core systems, providing technical support for both APAC and U.S. East Coast facilities.Responsibilities include:

• Providing operational support for server infrastructure.
• Managing and troubleshooting Windows and Linux servers.
• Monitoring, diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving system issues.
• Ensuring server uptime, system reliability, and performance.
• Collaborating with the IT Security team to implement system-level security controls.
• Recommending and initiating system upgrades, patches, and projects.
• Tracking and monitoring changes in the system environment.
• Creating and maintaining system documentation.
• Maintaining clean and organized server rooms.
• Providing system and end-user support.
• Assisting the IT team with various infrastructure and end-user support duties.
• Maintaining working knowledge of cybersecurity principles.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in system administration.
• In-depth knowledge of server management, virtualization, and capacity planning.
• Strong experience with Windows and Linux server environments.
• Thorough understanding of authentication protocols and system security best practices.
• Experience with system monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
• Familiarity with cloud technologies and hybrid cloud environments.
• Experience managing virtualization platforms.
• Advanced knowledge of scripting and automation tools.
