Data & Compliance Operations Specialist (Protected categories under Italian Law 68/99)- Fixed Term (12 months) at Scalapay

Scalapay is seeking a Data & Compliance Operations Specialist to join its Operations team in Milan. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and compliance for merchants and customers, contributing to the smooth onboarding and management of merchants while adhering to regulatory standards. This position is reserved for candidates belonging to protected categories under Italian Law 68/99.

Responsibilities:

• Review, validate, and process KYC documents.
• Assist merchants with onboarding and post-integration support.
• Maintain and update KYC databases and generate reports.
• Provide data for risk assessments and KYC decision-making.
• Collaborate with Sales, Compliance, Legal, and Operations teams.

Requirements:

• Economic degree, high school diploma, or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of experience in a regulated entity or data entry roles.
• Fluency in Italian and English (French or Spanish a plus).
• Detail-oriented and organized with the ability to work under pressure.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Proficiency with Office suites and databases.
• Proactive, adaptable, and eager to learn with a problem-solving mindset.
