Lead Building Services Engineer - Healthcare at Unispace Life Sciences

Unispace Life Sciences is seeking a Lead Building Services Engineer to join their growing Design team. The role is based in London, but applicants throughout the UK will be considered. The candidate will play a key role in the company's continued expansion in the life sciences and healthcare sectors.Responsibilities include:

• Leading the design, specification, and implementation of MEP building services for healthcare projects.
• Overseeing technical design aspects and ensuring alignment with project requirements and healthcare regulations.
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated and efficient building services solutions.
• Managing resources, budgets, and timelines for projects.
• Conducting site inspections of healthcare facilities and coordinating with contractors.
• Providing expert guidance on sustainable and energy-efficient solutions.
• Supporting the preparation of proposals and technical reports.
• Staying updated on industry trends and innovations.
• Mentoring and guiding junior engineers.

Requirements include:

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in MEP design engineering with a focus on healthcare design.
• Proven experience in building services design and delivery for healthcare environments.
• Strong understanding of UK healthcare regulations and standards (HTMs, HBNs).
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit MEP, or similar BIM tools.
• Experience in leading a team and mentoring junior members.
• Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
