Cobblestone Energy is seeking a Short-Term Power Trader to manage and optimise its European power portfolio. The successful candidate will develop trading strategies to identify opportunities across various trading horizons, with a primary focus on Day Ahead to Month Ahead markets. Working with analysts and systematic traders, the trader will utilise advanced tools and insights to maximise profitability, with demonstrable experience in Eastern European and South East European power markets being mandatory.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute trading strategies across multiple European markets.
• Identify and capitalise on market inefficiencies, particularly in Eastern Europe and SEE.
• Collaborate with systematic traders to blend quantitative methods with discretionary strategies.
• Produce clear, data-driven market reports.
• Provide round-the-clock market coverage.

Requirements:

• 2+ years’ track record trading in short-term European power markets.
• Demonstrable expertise in Eastern European and South East European power markets.
• Exceptional analytical skills with proficiency in quantitative tools (Python, R, or Excel VBA).
• Ability to make high-stakes decisions under pressure.
• Experience in cross-border trading and capacity markets is advantageous.
