Cobblestone Energy is seeking a Short-Term Power Trader to manage and optimize its European power portfolio from their Dubai office. The ideal candidate will develop trading strategies to identify opportunities across various trading horizons, primarily focusing on Day Ahead to Month Ahead markets, with experience in Eastern Europe and South East Europe (SEE) being mandatory. The role involves close collaboration with analysts and systematic traders, utilizing advanced tools and insights to maximize profitability.

Responsibilities include:

• Develop and execute trading strategies across multiple European markets.
• Identify and capitalize on market inefficiencies in Eastern Europe and SEE.
• Collaborate with systematic traders to blend quantitative methods with discretionary strategies.
• Produce clear, data-driven market reports detailing trade rationales and performance drivers.
• Provide round-the-clock market coverage as part of a dedicated trading team.

Requirements include:

• 2+ years’ track record trading in short-term European power markets.
• Demonstrable expertise in Eastern European and South East European power markets.
• Exceptional analytical skills with proficiency in Python, R, or Excel VBA.
