Cobblestone Energy is seeking a Short-Term Power Trader to manage and optimise their European power portfolio. The ideal candidate will develop trading strategies and identify opportunities across various trading horizons, with a primary focus on Day Ahead to Month Ahead markets. The trader will collaborate with analysts and systematic traders to maximise profitability.

Role Involves:

• Developing and executing trading strategies across multiple European markets.
• Identifying and capitalising on market inefficiencies, particularly in Eastern Europe and SEE.
• Collaborating with systematic traders to blend quantitative methods with discretionary strategies.
• Producing data-driven market reports detailing trade rationales and performance drivers.
• Providing round-the-clock market coverage.

Requirements:

• 2+ years’ track record of solid performance trading in short-term European power markets.
• Demonstrable expertise and a proven track record in Eastern European and South East European power markets.
• Exceptional analytical skills with proficiency in quantitative tools such as Python, R, or Excel VBA.
• Ability to make high-stakes decisions under pressure.
• Experience in cross-border trading and capacity markets is advantageous.
