Senior Frontend Engineer - China at Whatnot

Whatnot is seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer to join their Games & Buyer Ecosystem Team in China. The engineer will contribute to feature development for the US and Europe markets. Whatnot is the largest livestream shopping platform in North America and Europe.

The role involves designing and developing end-to-end gamified mechanisms to boost buyer engagement and purchases. They'll build interactive challenges, reward systems, and promotions across the buyer ecosystem. The Senior Frontend Engineer continuously analyzes performance metrics and user feedback to enhance product strategies.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop end-to-end gamified mechanisms.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of frontend web development experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Proficient in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Experienced with React, Next.js.
• Track record of delivering user-facing features.
• Good English communication skills.
