Lineate is seeking a Support Engineer (Junior System Engineer) to join their team in Yerevan, Armenia. Lineate helps companies go from myth to reality with custom technology. Handling billions of transactions and terabytes of data, their technology solutions have enabled companies like The New York Times, AppNexus, and NYU to achieve their goals for over a decade.

The Support Engineer would be apart of 24x7 support team.

Responsibilities:

  • Configuring, troubleshooting, and solving problems
  • Monitoring the health of servers, cloud services, and infrastructure
  • Analyzing system logs (Linux, Windows, cloud services) to identify root causes of incidents
  • Troubleshooting issues related to OS, containers (Docker), networks, and CI/CD services
  • Managing users, configuring permissions, and security policies
  • Automating routine tasks using scripts (Bash, Python, Perl)
  • Deploying, configuring, and maintaining services in a cloud environment
  • Administering Jenkins or similar CI/CD tools
  • Automating application deployment and testing
  • Deploying and maintaining containerized applications in Docker

Requirements:

  • 1+ years experience in administration of Linux
  • 1+ years experience in administration of Windows
  • 1+ years of experience with cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure)
  • Base knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or similar
  • 1+ years of hands-on experience at least in one scripting language (Perl/Python/Go/Bash)
  • Understanding basic's of monitoring, different type of monitoring systems and their pluses and minuses. Ability to choose different types of monitoring types according to the situation
  • Manage source code with GIT or similar
  • Hands-on experience with Docker
  • Experience maintaining an infrastructure
  • Ability to use a wide variety of open source technologies and tools
  • Writing and reading skills in English
