Fullstack Engineer (with Backend focus) (f/m/x) at CarOnSale

CarOnSale, a Berlin-based tech startup revolutionizing the automotive trade, seeks a motivated Fullstack Engineer with a Backend focus to join their Logistics, Payment & Invoicing team. The engineer will collaborate with product and design teams to ship impactful features, take ownership of backend tasks, write clean and well-tested code, and participate in team discussions. The role involves knowledge sharing, supporting junior engineers, improving backend systems, and enhancing integrations with external services like Stripe.

Role Involves:

• Collaborating with product and design to ship impactful features and improvements.
• Taking ownership of backend tasks and services, from ideation to deployment and maintenance.
• Writing clean, maintainable, and well-tested code with an eye for performance and reliability.
• Participating actively in team discussions, technical planning, and agile ceremonies.
• Sharing knowledge with peers and support junior engineers when opportunities arise.
• Contributing to CarOnSale's backend systems and help improve integrations with external services like payment providers (e.g., Stripe).

Requirements:

• At least 2+ years of hands-on experience in backend engineering roles.
• Comfortable working in a team-oriented environment and collaborating across teams.
• Fluency in TypeScript and experience with technologies such as Node.js, NestJS, and PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with agile practices like Scrum or Kanban, and tools like Jira and Confluence.
• Proactive, curious, and enjoys taking ownership of work.
• Excellent English communication and relationship building skills.
