Legal Counsel at Speechmatics

Speechmatics, a leading AI Research Company, is looking for a Legal Counsel to bring experience in SaaS, AI, and/or US contract law. The role is based in London, England, United Kingdom. Responsibilities include:

• Managing and overseeing contractual changes.
• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, particularly SaaS agreements.
• Collaborating with external legal counsel.
• Automating processes using AI to increase efficiency.
• Working with Finance & RevOps to ensure legal matters align with company policies.
• Providing commercial insights for enterprise contract negotiations.
• Ensuring contract and corporate compliance with laws and regulations.
• Advising on US legal matters and adapting practices to UK requirements.

Requirements:

• Experience in managing and drafting contracts within the SaaS industry.
• Ability to translate commercial points into legal language.
• Capable of ensuring compliance and mitigating risks.
• Commercially minded with a focus on contracts and corporate matters.
• Flexible availability, especially during peak contractual activities.
• Well-versed in both UK and US contract law.
