Legal Counsel at Speechmatics

Speechmatics, a leading applied AI Research Company, is looking for a Legal Counsel to contribute their experience in SaaS, AI, and/or US contract law. The role involves shaping the legal landscape within a rapidly evolving technological environment. What this role involves:

• Managing contractual changes and bringing in-house control to the processes.
• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a variety of contracts, with a strong emphasis on enterprise and SaaS agreements.
• Collaborating with external legal counsel and automating processes using AI.
• Working with Finance & RevOps to handle legal matters efficiently.
• Offering commercial insights for enterprise contract negotiations.
• Ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
• Providing expert advice on US legal matters.

Who we are looking for:

• Experienced in managing and drafting contracts, particularly in SaaS.
• Adept at translating commercial points into legal language.
• Capable of ensuring compliance and mitigating risks.
• Commercially minded with expertise in contracts and corporate matters.
• Flexible in availability, especially at the end of the quarter.
• Well-versed in UK and US contract law.
