Drafting Engineer/VQC

Job Description

Xometry is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Drafting Engineer/VQC Inspector to join their team. This role involves conducting Virtual Quality Control inspections, reviewing documents and photos, and managing rework. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, along with a solid understanding of manufacturing processes and GD&T.

• Performing Virtual Quality Control inspections
• Reviewing required documents and photos
• Managing rework through internal and external resources
• Collaborating with various teams including DFM Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality Control

Requirements:

• Ability to communicate clearly in English (B2-C1 level)
• Minimum of High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in dimensional inspection of manufactured products
• Minimum of 1 year experience as a drafting engineer
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working with General Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings
• Working knowledge of manufacturing processes
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to work part of the day in Eastern Time Zone (UTC - 4)
• Reliable internet connection
