Drafting Engineer/VQC

Job Description

Xometry is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Drafting Engineer/VQC Inspector to join their team. This role supports Xometry's rapid customer growth by ensuring the quality of manufactured products through virtual inspections and collaboration with various teams.

The successful candidate will work closely with DFM Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Control, Case Management, and Xometry's Supply Chain, supporting the Partner Network. They will conduct virtual quality control inspections, review documents and photos, and manage rework using internal and external resources.

Responsibilities include:

• Performing virtual quality control inspections
• Reviewing required documents and photos
• Managing rework through internal and external resources
• Interacting with DFM Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Control, and Case Management
• Supporting Xometry Partners (Contract Manufacturers) Network

Requirements:

• Ability to clearly communicate - read, write, and speak English (В2-С1)
• Minimum of High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 5 years experience dimensionally inspecting manufactured products
• Experience in the role of drafting engineer from 1 years. Preferably in the field of mechanical engineering (hydraulic, compressor equipment)
• Minimum of 2 years working with General Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
• Able to read/interpret mechanical drawings, including assembly drawings
• Working knowledge and/or education, skills and experience associated with manufacturing processes
• Capable of interpreting and developing Dimensional Inspection Reports
• A self-starter, who works diligently to complete tasks in a timely manner
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to to work in a dynamic environment
• Minimum ability to working part of day in Eastern Time Zone (UTC - 4)
• Reliable internet
• Must have a strong attention to details
• Good communication skills
