Doctolib is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join its Automation Platform team. The ideal candidate will spearhead critical infrastructure automation, tooling, and release engineering initiatives. This role involves architecting and implementing robust CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code solutions, and automated testing frameworks. The engineer will collaborate with engineering teams to design and deploy scalable tooling that transforms manual processes into automated workflows.
The Senior Site Reliability Engineer's expertise in containerization, observability, and deployment automation will be crucial in evolving Doctolib's Internal Developer Platform. This platform aims to create a technical ecosystem where feature teams can seamlessly manage their infrastructure needs, automate quality gates, and reliably deploy production-ready code with minimal friction.
What this role involves:
- Collaborating with Feature teams to ensure platform alignment with developer needs.
- Driving improvements by evaluating and implementing new technologies and processes.
- Defining best practices, known as "golden paths," for software development and deployment, in collaboration with SREs, security teams, and other domain experts.
- Developing and maintaining tools and services that facilitate the implementation of best practices, assisting developers in building and deploying applications more efficiently.
- Ensuring the reliability, scalability, traceability, and monitoring of Doctolib's platform and services.
- Actively contributing to the delivery of roadmap items, working closely with the rest of the team to achieve collective goals.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of site reliability engineering experience.
- Experience with AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, and GitHub Actions.
- Experience supporting applications developed on the JVM and/or TypeScript.
- Proven experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Solid understanding of containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker and Kubernetes).
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (Go, Java, Ruby, Python etc.).
- Deep understanding of infrastructure as code principles.
- Good understanding of web technologies and software development life cycle.
- User-first mindset with a focus on delivering value through secure, well-tested, and pragmatic code.
- Strong focus on code quality and a rigorous testing culture.
- Eagerness to share knowledge and help the team grow through pair programming and mentoring.
