Senior Cloud Engineer (Contract)

Job Description

Click Therapeutics is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer for a contract position. The role involves managing cloud infrastructure using state-of-the-art technologies in a fast-paced environment. The engineer will be involved in making architectural decisions and seeing the impact of their work across the business. The position is based in Tribeca, NYC, with a hybrid working model requiring at least 3 days in the office each week.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and document software.
• Discover, refine, and communicate requirements with engineers and stakeholders.
• Improve overall product quality and usability iteratively.
• Mentor new and junior engineers.

Requirements:

• 7+ years of software development experience.
• Experience building, maintaining, and optimizing cloud systems (e.g., AWS).
• Experience evaluating and identifying optimal cloud solutions.
• Experience architecting cloud solutions, modifying and improving existing systems.
• Cloud deployment, migration, and monitoring experience.
• Experience programming in Typescript/Python.
• Experience leading production quality software projects.
• Demonstrates thoughtful consideration of engineering tradeoffs to meet business timelines.
• Kubernetes operational experience (e.g., AWS EKS Fargate).
• AWS experience on Application Load Balancer, RDS/Postgresql, DynamoDB, CodePipeline/CodeBuild, IAM, and Cloudformation.
• gRPC and envoy-based service mesh.
