Specialist (w/m/d) Data Privacy - IONOS Group CTO at IONOS DE

IONOS is seeking a Specialist (w/m/d) Data Privacy to join their Group CTO team in Karlsruhe. This individual will collaborate with diverse teams within IONOS, a leading European provider of cloud infrastructure, cloud services, and hosting services. Responsibilities Include:

• Ensuring awareness, compliance, and documentation in data protection within the CTO division.
• Representing the IONOS Group competently and confidently during audits and certifications.
• Advising employees and executives on data protection issues and developing recommendations for data protection-compliant solutions.
• Acting as an interface to the data protection officer and team.
• Reporting on activities and maturity levels of management systems and actively promoting them.
• Collaborating closely with organizational and technical security teams as part of the Information Security Leadership Team.

Requirements:

• A degree in computer science, industrial engineering, data protection, or a related field, or extensive professional experience in data protection, information security, or comparable areas.
• Familiarity with GDPR and other relevant international data protection regulations applicable to IONOS markets.
• Certification as a “Data Protection Officer” or “Data Protection Auditor” is a plus.
• Ability to convince departments in an international organization and motivate them to implement standards and processes.
• Knowledge of international and national standards such as ISO 27001, ISO 27701 or 27018, ISO 50001, BSI IT-Grundschutz or C5 is helpful.
• Ability to quickly familiarize oneself with new topics.
• Excellent communication skills in English and German, both written and spoken.
