Collectors is seeking an Operations Supervisor to lead the Toronto-area based Operations team for PSA Canada. This role involves leading end-to-end production and logistics for PSA, from receiving collectibles to processing and shipping them. The Operations Supervisor will play a crucial role in building and leading the Operations team within Collectors' rapidly expanding global network, contributing to a world-class Operations organization.

What this role involves:
  • Supervising staffing, training, and scheduling of department personnel.
  • Monitoring staff productivity and assigning tasks as needed.
  • Creating and maintaining departmental structure, morale, and a sense of team.
  • Developing production goals and ensuring that goals are met.
  • Planning employee schedules to meet daily operations goals.
  • Developing staff skills and creating a rewarding and fulfilling work environment.
  • Creating effective solutions for issues that arise within the Department.
  • Ensuring that all team members are using appropriate resources to identify items.
  • Actively devising strategies to maintain acceptable service levels.
  • Maintaining accurate records.
  • Ensuring proper procedures are followed and devising techniques to improve team efficiency.
  • Implementing improvements to keep error percentage to a minimum.
  • Acting as a knowledgeable and accessible resource for team members.
  • Interacting with Collectors' third-party partner providing strong customer-facing communication and support.
  • Safely handling and accounting for valuable merchandise, ensuring security and proper handling throughout all process stages.
  • Leading by example and championing all company policies, including safety, attendance, and security.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of professional experience including 3+ years in a fulfillment, manufacturing (or related role) environment and 2+ years in a managerial/supervisory role.
  • 2+ years managing 3rd party client relationships or working in a customer/client facing role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Ability to travel to other sites (minimal to occasional).
  • Strong verbal and written communication, including an ability to understand and relay company policies/procedures.
  • Dependable and personable team player who works well with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Data-driven problem solver with an understanding of general business implications of decisions.
  • Comfortable multitasking and prioritizing a variety of projects in a fast-paced environment with little room for error.
  • Influential leader who can inspire/motivate others and effectively drive change within the department.
  • Strong project management and planning/organizational skills; ability to develop and execute realistic action plans.
  • Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within trading cards, tickets, and other forms of sports and non-sports collectibles.
