This role involves:

  • Implementing and managing the event's social media plan across platforms like LinkedIn, X (Twitter), Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube.
  • Designing and creating social media posts using brand guidelines and templates.
  • Writing and proofreading engaging, platform-specific copy aligned with the event's message.
  • Scheduling and publishing posts, ensuring timely and relevant content distribution.
  • Monitoring social media channels, engaging with the audience, and responding to inquiries.
  • Tracking and reporting on key performance metrics, making recommendations for improvement.
  • Working with the wider marketing team to align social media with event campaigns and promotions.
  • Ensuring all content goes through the proofing process before publishing.
  • Staying up to date with digital and social media trends, recommending innovative content formats.

Requirements:

  • A marketing, communications, or digital media qualification is advantageous.
  • 1-2 years of experience in social media marketing, preferably in B2B or event marketing.
  • Experience managing social media channels for a brand or organisation.
  • Strong copywriting and proofreading skills.
  • Basic graphic design experience using tools such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Knowledge of social media analytics tools and performance tracking.
  • Experience working with content scheduling tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Sprout Social, or native scheduling tools).
  • Understanding of SEO principles and how they apply to social media content.
  • Experience in paid social media advertising and campaign optimisation.
  • Knowledge of social listening tools to track brand sentiment and industry trends.
  • Ability to develop and execute influencer marketing strategies.
