Isar Aerospace is seeking a Senior GNC Engineer to join their Guidance, Navigation, & Control team. The engineer will lead the technical development of the Inertial Navigation system of the launch vehicle, develop simulation environments, implement algorithms, and perform validation campaigns. He/she will also work on software used in GNC development.Role involves:
- Performing Navigation algorithm tuning and improvements based on flight data
- Designing and tuning discrete filters based on flight data
- Performing and setting up scripts for Monte Carlo simulation and analyse them
- Running and automating GNSS testing campaigns in HIL environment
- Creating and owning licensing relevant navigation documentation
- Supporting flight safety relevant fault analysis
Requirements:
- Master’s degree or PhD in Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics or similar
- At least 5 years of experience in mathematical modelling, development and validation of algorithms in the field of aided inertial navigation
- Experience with GNSS receiver configuration and testing (GNSS simulator test setups)
- Strong background in mathematical modelling and data analysis in MATLAB and all relevant Tools (Simulink, Stateflow, autocoding etc.)
- Proficient in data analysis in frequency and time domain with Python
- Strong understanding of discrete signal processing techniques
- Experience in C/C++ flight software development
- Proficient in Inertial navigation algorithms and Kalman filter techniques
- Fluent English
