Senior Medical Writer at ApotheCom

ApotheCom, a leader in medical communications, seeks a Senior Medical Writer to join a global medical affairs team supporting a pharmaceutical client. The Senior Medical Writer will work within a team and form productive working relationships within, and external to, iNIZIO. The role involves being a partner and trusted advisor to the client, with travel for client meetings and events.

Reporting to a Senior Medical Director, the Senior Medical Writer will be a senior scientific member of an existing team and will partner with the medical and client service leads to mentor and review work, ensure quality delivery and grow the business. The position holder will provide a high-level consultancy service to pharmaceutical industry clients and ensure the scientific accuracy and high quality of projects.

Role Involves:

• Developing and reviewing content related to cardiovascular and kidney disease.
• Creating training materials, congress and symposia work, and advisory board activities.
• Providing a high-level consultancy service to pharmaceutical industry clients.
• Ensuring the scientific accuracy and high quality of projects.

Requirements:

• Excellent scientific writing and editing skills (e.g. monographs, training manuals, KOLs slide sets).
• Experience developing content for different medical audiences.
• Experience writing in a range of media, including print, video, new media (CD-ROM and web-based work).
• Excellent quality control skills – style/consistency, grammar, scientific accuracy, proof-reading, layout.
• Understanding of pharmaceutical and health-related issues.
• Prior experience working as a medical writer for a medical communications agency.
• An academic background in life sciences.
