Start Campus is seeking a Project Controls Senior Engineer to ensure precision and control in one of Europe’s most ambitious infrastructure projects. The candidate will be responsible for managing the commercial and scheduling aspects of the projects, ensuring that all work stays on track in terms of time, budget, and execution. The Project Controls Senior Engineer will report directly to the Head of Design & Delivery and collaborate closely with teams to ensure all tasks related to construction and infrastructure are on schedule.

Role Involves:
  • Preparing capital and lifecycle estimates
  • Providing input on tendering procedures and results
  • Reviewing PMO cost planning
  • Reviewing contractor and vendor pay applications, as recommended by the PMO
  • Monitoring and reporting on P6 schedule submissions, Level 3 to level 5, from the PMO and contractors
  • Understanding critical path and key risks
  • Providing performance updates / reports views for identification of variances and corrective action
  • Regular reporting on all the above

Requirements:
  • Estimating/quantity surveying qualification
  • 5-8 years’ experience
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6 scheduling tools with project experience
  • Good organisational skills and ability to produce accurate work to deadlines
  • Data Center or complex projects experience in similar roles
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team while prioritizing work efficiently
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new processes, procedures, and equipment
  • Ability to prioritize in a complex, fast-paced environment
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • High proficiency of Portuguese and English (being the day-to-day preferred language)
