Senior Cloud Security Engineer

Job Description

Aisera is seeking a Senior Cloud Security Engineer to play a critical role in securing its cloud platforms. The successful candidate will partner closely with the DevOps and infrastructure engineering team to ensure environments are hardened, monitored, and aligned with best practices. This is a hands-on role focused on securing infrastructure-as-code (IaC), identifying and mitigating vulnerabilities, and proactively addressing misconfigurations in Aisera's cloud ecosystem.Role involves:

• Leading security initiatives across AWS and Azure environments.
• Collaborating with DevOps teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines.
• Monitoring and responding to cloud misconfigurations.
• Managing vulnerability management processes.
• Designing and implementing security policies and automation.
• Building and maintaining monitoring for cloud security events.
• Conducting threat modeling and risk assessments.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with 3+ years in cloud security.
• Expertise in securing AWS and Azure environments.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), especially Terraform.
• Strong scripting ability in Python or shell (Bash).
• Experience with container security (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and vulnerability management tools.
• Solid understanding of IAM, networking, and logging in cloud environments.
• Familiarity with cloud security benchmarks (e.g., CIS, NIST).
• Experience in detecting and responding to cloud-specific threats and incidents.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience working on federal government contracts or projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
