Airbyte is seeking a Solutions Engineer to join their team. This role involves working closely with the GTM team to improve the qualification and onboarding process for new customers. The Solutions Engineer will collaborate with multiple teams to support sales and post-sales functions, aiming for better qualification, faster deal cycles, and increased customer satisfaction and retention. This is an opportunity to have a significant impact in the data infrastructure sector.
What this role involves:
- Being a technical expert on data movement via Airbyte.
- Working with Sales to technically qualify prospects and close deals.
- Collaborating with external technical counterparts to scope Airbyte engagements.
- Working with Airbyte technical support to ensure customer success.
- Documenting technical requirements, workflows, and functionality of prospects.
- Communicating technical feature requests and competitive intelligence internally.
- Demonstrating the use and best practices of Airbyte’s product.
- Representing and evangelizing Airbyte externally at conferences and customer events.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in a B2B customer-facing role (sales engineer or similar).
- 2+ years of SaaS/tech/startup experience.
- Solid understanding of modern scripting languages (e.g., Python, Node.js, SQL) and/or programming languages (e.g., C/C++, Java, C#).
- Familiarity with modern data infrastructure (cloud applications, databases, ELT, warehouses).
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
